On July 23rd, PBN (Providence Business News) awarded Jay Gotra and 39 other professionals for their hard work, success and dedication to helping others. Jay joined the ranks of the “40 Under Forty” for his continued excellence as the CEO of the always-growing, “Alliance Security”, and his commitment to helping those in the local community through his work as a board member on the Ten Men Committee. The event was held at the historic Aldrich mansion On Narragansett Bay in Warwick Neck.
The Savings Institute and Cox Business sponsored the celebratory affair, which brought together an incredible network of people – from past winners, to the current class. The tradition of 40 Under Forty began a decade ago with the intention of recognizing young talent improving our area today and in the years to come.
The winners range in their professions and interest areas across the board. From future political candidates, to entrepreneurs to Miss Rhode Island herself, the winners represent a wide swathe of sectors.
In spite of these seemingly disparate industries, the winners share certain things in common.
No matter what path the winners have chosen to pursue in their professional lives, they all share a similar drive and perseverance in following their goals and striving to constantly challenge themselves.
Each person on the 40 under Forty list offers a specific insight into the Ocean State, and exemplifies the wealth of talent, innovation and intelligence local to the area. Many of these winners are strong members in their field, but have also made a point in revitalizing or somehow encouraged growth within the Rhode Island area.
When working towards one’s goals, the primary focus should be on clearly identifying the objective, figuring out the necessary steps to get there, and accomplishing those steps. Working for one’s goals and eventually achieving them is one of the most rewarding processes in life, but being acknowledged externally for the work is a real compliment.
